What's on My Mind...

Many don't want to know what's on my mind. If you're one of those people, stop reading here. Recently they have recalled many H1N1 vaccinations. The topic of vaccinations has been of interest to me for quite some time. While I was finishing my Masters, I became very interested. I didn't have time, but when I graduated I jumped in with two feet...reading and researching. I have an opinion on it. One that I'm not going to share at this time. What I will share is that I hope everyone does at least some research. It's very, very interesting. I have books and resources that I'm willing to share too. I meet with a group of moms that have similar ideas, which has been very insightful to me. Yes, I'm the only childless lady. It's because most don't start their research until after having children or having an experience with vaccinations, which is completely fine. It's just something that's of interest of me. Talking to people from all different points of view is helpful to me. I like to hear the arguments for and against. It can't be an easy choice for any parent. It's just going with your mommy instincts...I guess. I have no experience in this category. Anyways...I will continue to get my hands on as much information as I can. The next thing that is on my mind that Pat and I chuckle about now.....

When I started college, I was going for a backup plan. Ultimately, Pat and I thought that I would be a stay at home mom SOMEDAY. That idea has changed to....Heck No! Now that kids have moved from the 10 year plan to the 5 year plan, we think a lot differently. Patrick wouldn't mind if I stayed at home. But he actually would, because I would be one crabby woman. Bless the women that can stay at home, including our moms, but I know I couldn't! You couldn't offer me more than my salary to stay at home right now. No way. I'm more of a career woman than I ever thought I would be. I love my job. Right now, I don't want anything to disturb my career. I'm feeling a bit selfish, but it's how I feel. Life isn't just about learning about others, it's about learning who you are too. What motivates you, what makes you happy, and on the flip side what angers you and saddens you. How are we going to take all this energy and use it to make this world a better place. You never know, my views may change. As of right now, it's my thoughts out loud. Enjoy your weekend!
