Friday vacation....or not!

My dad loves his job, but sometimes doesn't know when to stop working. My mom said "Hunny, we are going to take off one Friday a month". This past Friday was the first 3-day weekend in this adventure. The relaxing weekend that my mom had in mind, didn't exactly happen. Patrick and dad insulated the entire garage on Friday. Saturday, with the help of Uncle Tom, Travis, and Bryan, the entire garage was sheet rocked. Impressive, huh! I thought so. My dad promises that he enjoys things like this and it isn't work for him. Either way, we really appreicate it!

My Uncle Tom is an incredible man. He's extremely talented. He was the only one experienced in sheet rocking, so he was a key player. Going back to what an incredible man he is. He started running marathons when he turned 50 years old. He completely finished his basement. And always answers our calls when we need help. A huge thank you to Tom! (I promise I won't move again for a long time) :) Tom helped me move every time I moved in college. It seemed like I was moving quite often for a while there.

Travis...what a neat guy! He also helped us move into our house. And also showed up again this weekend when we needed an extra hand. He stocks our refrigerator with his own beer and even takes out the garbage. He is a guest that we never mind having around.

Bryan and Kitty are always willing to lend a helping hand when the call is put out. We love having them come stay with us. Nothing beats good coversation over a cup of coffee on Saturday mornings. Not going to lie...the ladies did sneak out to do a little bit of shopping. We made sure that chili and beer was ready for lunch before we left. My mom made my favorite....Easter bread. Most of you know, I don't eat bread...but if it's Easter bread, step aside! Oh yeah, and thanks mom for cleaning. Mom loves to clean. I always think our house is fairly clean when she comes, but she always find something to clean!

Thanks again everyone! We love you. And appreicate it more than you will ever know!

  2. Kitty, You are always so sweet and we love to have you two stay with us! I have a folder where I keep all the nice thing people do and say. In there I have cards, e-cards, e-mails, and little notes like this one in there from you. Kind words are you're expertise! When I’m having a bad day, I dig out the folder and read through some of the nice things from loving friends and family. Thank you for all you do.
