This Edition of: Around This House

A huge thanks to mom and dad we now have 3 boulevard trees planted. Not only did they buy them for birthday and anniversary gifts, but also rolled up their sleeves and planted them. The outside one was my birthday present, the other outside one was for Patrick's birthday, and the middle one is for our 1st year anniversary! We are hoping they look like the picture below someday. We still have an apple and 2 pear trees to plant. Maybe that will happen on Sunday after we get home...or more likely...after the Vikings game and after the Cowboys game. I talked to my dad last night. He must have heard the urgency in my voice,  I really wanted the trees planted before the first frost. He so kindly volunteered to come plant them this weekend while we are away. He said, " Just leave a dot of spray paint where I should did the hole". How nice of him! We'll try to get them planted, but if not, that offer sounds very appealing!

Our schedule tree planting was interrupted by staining the deck. Patrick is Mr. Perfectionist! It looks really nice though. Now we just have the floor boards to stain. It's raining today, so we know it works...it's repelling water!

We also bought another guest bed yesterday, so we now have 2 guest beds. No more air mattress for guests equalling over 2 :). We still have to set it up and buy a comforter so it's nice and cozy. I'm hoping to get some Fargo shopping time in this weekend.

We are leaving bright and early on Friday morning for Chase on the Lake to celebrate 1 year. Wow, does time fly! It's been a busy year. I'm sure glad our wedding was last year and not this year...50 degrees is the high! When checking the weather I saw that on September 19th in Walker, MN the average high is 53 degrees and average low is 44. Why did no one tell me I was crazy when planning! I did send up a lot of weather prayers, so someone must have been on our side.

Make it a great day!
