Mom has been facelifting!

I caught you attention now, didn't I?! :)

The crib and the rocker are probably the only new things we bought. Everything else is old stuff with a face lift. The hutch thing that we are going to use as a changing table is from BEST. Remember that store! It was were Big Lots is now. I was really little, but I remember they had the best toy selection way in the back. Anyways, it was hunter green when they bought it, then it was put in storage after their house remodel, then they painted it black for Kathryn and she took it to college, now they painted it white and it’s at our house! Talk about getting your monies worth.

The cornice above the crib was made by my mom and dad in the shop. I called my dad one night and heard this terrible sound in the background. It was mom using the saw! She’s super woman. The crib skirt and the canopy above the bed is from an old comforter set my Grandma Jean wasn’t using anymore. The little lamp table was my Grandma HelenJean’s that has been repainted. Mom had let over material from our wedding quilt and with that, she is going to make a slip cover for the ottoman and a pillow. I love sentimental stuff, but it normally involves more work than buying new. A lot of work that has been done by people other than me. Did I mention, I'm related to super woman!? that has a super man that goes on most all her missions with her?!
