Pat and I were talking about how we forget to appreciate the beauty of the lake. It was quiet, fairly calm, beautiful this weekend. Huge thanks to the grandmas for babysitting.
We really enjoyed the peaceful Pat+Jen time.
As we all know I can't sit still for too long. Brock had the prefect plan for someone who couldn't sit still...
Weeeee......
And here come the sort of part. We cruised over to Beulah Bay to visit some friends. And our boat (2nd time we have had it on the water) started sinking. Due to fast acting friends, the boat made out. One by one we counted our blessings. Blessing #1: We said, "Well if the boat goes, at least everyone is safe." Pat's friend pulled the boat out of the water enough to help drain the water, then we towed it to the dock and loaded it. Blessing #2 Once it was on the trailer, the big motor started! And then Patrick and Joey put it back in the water and drove around. All things considered, best outcome possible! Patrick said he will never let his boat out of his sight again. The boat sinking was caused by the steep hill it was beached on and the large waves. It was a no wake zone, but there were a few that didn't follow those rules. The back end of the boat was sitting fairly low because of the angle and then large waves kept coming over the back end until it was too much and started going down. We really have nothing to complain about, only blessings to count. Thank you!
