Greener Grass

The grass isn't always greener on the other side, but it is greener where you nurture it with water and fertilizer. All relationships need nurture, so we're greening our grass! Patrick decided that we needed a date night once a week so we have babysitters booked one night a week for the entire month of August. Our first evening out was to dinner last week. This week we will be spending our evening out at Urban Harvest where Gina will be singing. The last time we heard her sing was at our wedding. It's always such a treat to hear her sing, so I'm looking forward to it.

Now literally speaking about green grass. Patrick spends lots of time in the yard. Beckham and I spend that time on the deck or the front step watching. The weather has been perfect. All his hard work pays off when we get to spend evening out in the lawn together. We have been throwing the football around after Beckham goes to bed lately. Our competitive sides come out and the nice tossing becomes diving after fumbles! I'm sure our neighbors think we crazy, but that's ok. We have fun!

I came home from lunch to view daddy daycare. Beckham was perfectly content watching dad chip around in the green grass. In Beckham's eyes dad can't do wrong. He's definitely a daddy's boy. He can't take his eyes off him when he's in the room.

Hope you are greening up the grass in your relationships!
