UPDATE:
What an experience. Absolute devastation. The farmer and community were still in good spirits. It was one of the most difficult assignments I've had in the 5 years that I've been with Basin. It was a tear-fighting experience. The sites that hit home the hardest were things like clothing and furniture. Seeing downed towers, smashed farm equipment, and crushed vehicles was a OMG moment. For some reason, seeing clothing was so much more personal. It just made me realize that the family was left with the clothes on their back and each other. Below is a photo of a 17ft Sylavan boat wrapped around a transmission line. When I stood next to it, it was about the same height as me.
