It's a 12 foot table with very little wiggle room. My mom makes huge, delicious meals. Let me define "huge meals" for you: 10 pound prime rib, Oyster Rockefeller, ramen noodle salad, oven roasted potatoes & sweet potatoes, almond green beans, topped off with a beautiful birthday cake and homemade vanilla ice cream) Most of the food and ingredients is grown in the backyard. While mom is cooking, she makes numerous trips out to the garden and herb garden. If I forgot anything it’s because I’m still in food comatose from eating so much!
We all pile around the table, dad at the west end, Brock and the east end. Even if there are four people sitting at the table, it's always dad at the west end and Brock at the east end. It's just tradition and we don’t mess with tradition! The meals and family time around this 12 foot table are days that I will remember the rest of my life.

It was a Great meal!! Thanks Nancy and Bill!!! It was great to be there and share Kathryn's Birthday meal with everyone. We truly enjoy our wonderful, loving family with the Swanson's!! And who wouldn't enjoy Nancy's cooking, it is absolutely delicious!! I REALLY think she should be the one running a Restaurant, not us!!! It was also great having Pat and Jen camping with us! We love having company out camping!! Our 3 week vacation is over for the summer, so back to work for Bryan but we will be camping on his days off. I think we have reservations for all of his weekends off and will probably be camping during the week on his days off too. (Hint, Hint) If anyone wants to join us!!
